Commercial Executive



Summary of Role

The Commercial Executive is part of the commercial team saddled with the responsibilities of providing support to the Commercial Manager in collaborating with the company’s management and project/contract managers to handle contractual and commercial activities within the organization, which include but are not limited to contract negotiation, project planning, risk management and financial control.

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Executive

  • Assist to build and nurture current client relationships and initiate new relationships with the aim of winning new contracts.
  • Provide full secretarial and admin support to the Commercial Department.
  • Prepare and coordinate presentations/conferences/meetings with internal and external parties.
  • Prepare and present commercial contracts to the Commercial Manager for vetting.
  • Provide administrative support for the bid/tender process.
  • Prepare periodic or as requested, commercial reports for management review.
  • Assist to conduct technical and commercial discussions with clients.
  • Assist in overseeing branding and marketing endeavours to ensure all efforts are aligned with business goals.
  • Assist to negotiate new projects and contract terms with new clients.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with inter-department/inter-company requirements as per assigned.
  • Recommend changes in tactics, approach or new products based on market data.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc projects/duties as per assigned.

Required Skills (Must have at least, 80% of below skills to apply)

  • A University Degree or Higher National Diploma in Business Administration or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role with working experience in Offshore /Maritime market.
  • Familiar with corporate organization compliance
  • Familiar with both public and private formal communication
  • Skills in Proposal writing and presentation designs.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and Computer skills.
  • Management accounting skills. 
  • Data Analytical skills
